Affinity Interactive has designated seasoned gaming and leisure veteran Scott Butera as its new Chief Executive Officer. Butera contributes a breadth of expertise to the position, having formerly directed Affinity’s sports wagering division, Sports Information Group. While there, he spearheaded the expansion of online revenue for the Daily Racing Form, a fundamental element of the horse racing sector.
Butera’s notable background encompasses executive positions at prominent entities within the gaming and hospitality sectors, including MGM Resorts International, the National Football League, Foxwoods Resort Casino, Tropicana Entertainment, and Trump Entertainment.
James J. Zenni Jr., Chairman of Affinity Interactive and leader of ZCG, conveyed assurance in Butera’s capacity to guide the company through its subsequent stage of expansion, leveraging his robust history of elevating client encounters across diverse platforms.
Butra also highlighted Affinity’s dedication to advancing the gaming sector, stating, “Utilizing state-of-the-art technology and exceptional customer support is our strategy for making an impact, both digitally and within established gaming environments. It’s fundamental to our identity.”
He continued, “I’m excited to partner with Jim, leveraging my expertise and enthusiasm for progress to realize Affinity Interactive’s long-term aspirations.”
This designation follows other executive transitions at Affinity, including the naming of Halise Ekmen Uysal as Chief Financial Officer in the preceding year, indicating a phase of calculated expansion for the enterprise.
