The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has joined forces with Playtech, a top gambling technology firm, to develop a new range of casino games.
Playtech will utilize the BHA’s races and courses to produce a variety of thrilling new games. These games will encompass casino games, live dealer games, poker, virtual sports, and bingo. The initial game from this collaboration will be launched during the Cheltenham Festival, which takes place from March 15-18, 2022.
“We are delighted to be collaborating with Playtech,” stated Charlie Boss, Chief Commercial Officer at the BHA. “Their exceptional software and knowledge will assist us in bringing our brand to the online gambling market for the first time.”
“Playtech, like ourselves, is dedicated to responsible gambling,” Boss added.
Playtech recently expanded its operations into Canada through a partnership with NorthStar Gaming. They have also established two live dealer studios in Michigan and New Jersey.
“Playtech is committed to creating the most thrilling and engaging games,” said James Frendo, Head of Casino at Playtech.
Teaming up with well-known sports groups, such as the Hong Kong Jockey Club, enables us to produce a collection of exceptional and thrilling cross-product material. Collaborating with globally recognized brands is a fundamental element of our brand content strategy, as we strive to offer our patrons distinctive and captivating responsible gaming encounters.
In October of 2021, the Playtech board of directors consented to an agreement to be purchased by Aristocrat, an Australian slot machine manufacturer. However, the £2.7 billion acquisition ultimately fell through after the company was unable to obtain the required shareholder approval to finalize the transaction.
